What is the duration of the Temporary Residence (TR) Permit?
A
Under all Golden Visa options, the TR Permit is initially granted for period of 1 year. Thereafter, it can be renewed for subsequent 2-year periods. After 5 years, you & your family can apply for Permanent Residency (PR). After a 6-year period, you & your family are eligible to apply for Portuguese Citizenship, subject to certain requirements being met. |

What are the Residency requirements for the Portugal Golden Visa & other visa options?

All Portugal Golden Visa options require the applicants to reside in Portugal for only 7 days a year. Hence, it is a very beneficial option for those who do not wish to reside in Portugal. Other visa options like the D7 & D2 visa require applicants to reside in Portugal for at least 6 months in a year. |

Anyone who is at least 18 years of age, is a non-EU/EEA/Swiss citizen, has no criminal record, has never been banned from the Schengen area, and provides proof of adequate health insurance. |
