Saint Kitts and Nevis Citizenship Programme
December 1, 2018
Applications for the St Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment Programme has grown exponentially in 2018. According to data released by government sources, the number of applications received for the CIP in 2018 increased by more than the preceding 4 years combined. This is a very significant increase in a single year & demonstrates the popularity of the St Kitts and Nevis Citizenship Program amongst investors across the globe.
Being the oldest citizenship programme in the world & the “Platinum Standard” amongst all global citizenship programs, the St. Kitts & Nevis CIP has been a pioneer in introducing innovative new options & parameters to its program. For example, in 2018 St Kitts & Nevis introduced the co-investment option for real estate (wherein two investors could split the cost of acquiring a real estate property), and the ‘Sustainable Growth Fund (SGF)’ initiative through which a single applicant could qualify for citizenship by contributing just $150,000.
Established in 1984, the Saint Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment Program continues to gain in popularity, with another excellent year expected in 2019, with both the real estate & SGF options being the preferred option amongst investors.
Currently, the Program grants citizenship in exchange for specified quantum of investments in any one of the following 3 types :
● Donation to the Sustainable Growth Fund (SGF),
● Donation to the Sugar Industry Diversification Foundation (SIDF), and
● Investments in government approved real estate projects
