Contrary to reports appearing in some sections of the media that the UK Tier 1 Investor Visa (not the Entrepreneur Visa UK) had been suspended, the Home Office in a communique has confirmed that –
The Tier 1 Investor Visa is not currently suspended. However, the government remains committed to reforming the route. A further announcement will be made in due course.

Leading UK immigration solicitors have also confirmed that the online application system is still live for application submission & that there is nothing anywhere that indicates the UK Investor Visa Scheme has been or is about to be suspended.

What is clear is that the UK Tier 1 Investor Visa will be subjected to ‘planned reforms’.

Hence, it is business as usual with applications for the UK Tier 1 Investor Visa being accepted by the UK Home Office. If & when there are changes to the Program, we shall keep all informed of the same.

Till then, the UK Tier 1 Investor & Entrepreneur Visas continue to be attractive routes to UK residency by investment & subsequent citizenship of the United Kingdom.

The UK Tier 1 Investor Visa is a UK Immigration visa category which enables wealthy investors & their eligible family members to reside in the UK for 3 years, with possibility of an extension for a further 2 years. Thereafter, they may apply for an “indefinite leave to remain” (PR).
