Vide a circular dated 18th March 2019, the government of Grenada enacted an amendment in the country’s Citizenship by Investment Program by announcing a NEW PRICE OPTION for investment in qualified Approved Projects in the Tourism Accommodation sector.

The new amendment now permits property developers, having approved projects in the Tourism Accommodation sector, to sell each unit to TWO OR MORE applicants, with each applicant having to pay a purchase price of not less than USD 220,000. Hence, a main applicant (plus eligible family members) now have the option to acquire Grenada Citizenship by becoming co-owners of a property at a lower threshold than before.

However, if an investor prefers to have full ownership of a property, they can continue to invest in Approved Projects not in the Tourism Accommodation sector, at the same investment thresholds as before.

This change comes into effect from 1st April 2019.

These changes are in addition to the significant changes that the government of Grenada announced on 10th March 2019.
